I’ve been a storyteller my whole life.
With a background in Psychology & Acting, my work has always revolved around stories: the stories we tell ourselves and the stories we tell each other (not to mention the stories we tell about each other!). Through my writing, teaching and performing, I’ve witnessed the incredible power of storytelling to move a group of strangers to tears, silence or erupt in laughter.
It’s an ancient and universal practice and I believe, one of our greatest resources.
After running my own business for many years, I stepped into the world of live, unscripted television as a home shopping host. I learnt to (often with only minutes before going on air) meet a product or brand for the first time, assess its strengths and points of difference and determine how I could best tell their story to maximum effect. Then do it on live TV. No scripts, no rehearsals and definitely no autocue.
It was like boot camp for brands.
I hosted over 3,000 shows, and worked with some huge brands such as Nikon, Versace and Bose. I loved bringing to life the unique stories of these brands, products and people. It was an incredible opportunity to learn how businesses and products could reach an audience – lighting up the phone lines, jamming the website, creating sales in minutes… if they had a compelling story.
I believe we each have a story to tell, and I’m passionate about sharing my lifetime of storytelling skills to businesses who want to cut through the noise and reach their clients differently.
